This is by far my favorite dessert. My mom used to make this apple strudel with cinnamon every week when I was a child. It is easy, fast and delicious!
Ingredients for the dough:
Cut the dough in 3 parts and take one part, spread it with a roll on a floured surface and grate 1/3 margarine stick that was chilled in the freezer. Make a roll on the length size and put it aside. Take the second ball dough, spread it on your work surface and grate 1/3 margarine. Take the first roll, put it on the spreaded dough and roll it together so you have just one roll. Do the same with the third dough and roll together. So now you have just one big, fat roll. Let it chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, or while you finish to make the apple mixture.
The apple filling:
Peel 4 or 5 big apples and grate on the razor. Squeeze tight the grated apples until the juice is coming out and mix with 4 or 5 table spoons of white sugar (depends how sweet you like the pie; I prefer less sweeter to feel more the apples aroma). Be generous with adding the powdered cinnamon (about 2-3 Tb) and the mixture is ready. If the apples are still too juicy add 1 tablespoon of plain farina.
How to make the strudels:
Take the dough from the fridge and cut in 6 pieces ( from this quantity of the dough you make 6 strudels). Roll each piece and fill with 3 tablespoons of apple mixture, roll it and place it in a greased baking sheet. Do the same with the rest of your strudels and bake them for 45-50 minutes at 400 F.
When they are ready, let them cool and sift powdered sugar on top.
Enjoy!!!
